Hi—I’m David. I write immersive, character-first stories about flawed people, fierce loyalties, hidden powers, and the choices that define us.
I love asking, “What could possibly go wrong?” and then watching my characters reveal themselves through the choices they make. Across genres, worlds, and forms, I return to questions of memory, identity, grief, belonging, and the unintended consequences of good intentions.
My current fantasy projects include Deceivers of Adolair, an epic fantasy set in the Everlands, where a boy with an unusual gift is drawn into a deadly game among the Great Houses. His fiercest ally? Jax, a silver-grey wolfhound. Power, forbidden magic, and political intrigue collide in the first book—where good intentions rarely go unpunished.
I’m also writing The Memory-Cursed Princess, a first-person YA fantasy thriller in which sixteen-year-old Princess Seren becomes the unwilling bearer of a fallen knight’s entire life. His memories may expose the conspiracies behind her family’s destruction—but only if she uncovers the truth before they erase her identity.
My serialized projects include Tears of Rain, an autofiction novella in which a man returns to the Philippines after ten years and is confronted by the sister of his murdered ex, now a detective investigating the crime; and The Long Way to Now, a memoir about presence, family, and the choices that shape us.
I earned a BA in English and creative writing from Southern New Hampshire University and am currently pursuing an MFA in creative writing there. I live in Gilbert, Arizona, where I balance writing with a career in technology, public speaking, and raising two daughters.
